UPDATE: Apartment Complex Owners Sue Austin Energy for Winter Damages The owners of three Austin apartment complexes have filed suit against Austin Energy alleging the utility failed to prepare for the extreme winter storm last month. The lawsuit filed by the owners of Falls on Bull Creek, Treehouse Apartments, and Park at Crestview seeks $200,000-$1 million in damages. According to plaintiffs, the energy company was negligent in failing to prepare for the severe storm that left their apartment complexes with broken water pipes.
