Statement Of Information For An LLC

Attention Business Owners: Statement Of Information

All California LLCs have a requirement to submit a Statement of Information (SOI) with the Secretary of State. The SOI provides the State with all the updates of the company’s activities.

In California, an SOI must file every 2 years. The first SOI however must be filed within 90 days of the LLC being approved. The filing cost for the SOI is a minimum fee of $20.

The SOI can be filed online and the payment can be made by credit card. Failing to file the SOI may result in penalties. A fine amounting to $250 may impose and the Secretary of State may suspend LLC’s registration.
