Litigation Update: San Diego Seeks To Have Scooter Firms Share Burden of Litigation San Diego has sued several firms that provide short-term electric scooter rental services seeking to have them share the costs of class action litigation filed against it by disability advocates. A judge had dropped Byrd, Lyft and other operators from a lawsuit alleging that their users routinely leave the devices in areas blocking sidewalks and ramps, impeding disabled pedestrians.
