BUSINESS LITIGATION UPDATE: DJ Kaskade Wins $8M in Contract Dispute Over COVID-19 Show Cancellations A federal judge has awarded a Grammy-nominated DJ $8 million over a contract dispute with a now-bankrupt club in Las Vegas, Nevada. U.S. District Judge Andrew Gordon ruled that the defunct club Kaos, which had operated out of the Palms Casino Resort owed Ryan Raddon, who performs as DJ Kaskade, for breaching its artist performance agreement with him. Gordon rejected arguments by club owners that business restrictions placed on them by the COVID-19 pandemic that forced the cancellation of performance dates in 2019 and 2020 meant they should not be penalized, saying that the club made no effort to reschedule the shows or find other venues to host them. * Nate MacKay, Courthouse News Service 3/21/2022 FULL ARTICLE: https://ift.tt/sgyYSLd * #BUSINESSLAWYER 🌐 www.thesterlingfirm.com⠀ 📧 [email protected]⠀ 📲 +1(310)498-2750⠀ *⠀ Schedule Your Consultation Now: https://ift.tt/eCtSUkA ***⠀ #lawyer #law #businesslaw #businesslawyer #businessattorney #businesslawfirm #corporatelawyer #contractlawyer #smallbusinesslawyer #contractlaw #contracts #corporatelaw #business #thesterlingfirm #kaskade
