π¨Lawsuit Update: Federal Judge Says Google Must Face Privacy Suit Over Voice Assistant U.S. District Judge Beth Labson Freeman says that Google must face a privacy lawsuit over its Voice Assistant. The tech giant is accused of illegally recording and sharing private conversations of people who accidentally activate the Voice Assistant on their smartphones. On Thursday, Freeman ruled in favor of the plaintiffs and allowed the proposed class action claim to move forward.
