⏩LEGAL UPDATE ⏩California Man Plans to Sue After His Eye Was Ruptured by Police During May Arrest A California man who lost vision in his eye during an arrest has filed a notice of claim, the first step in a lawsuit over his injury. The man was arrested by Hawthorne police on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic violence at his home in May. According to the man, he was shoved face-first into a row of metal lockboxes by a police officer after being taken to jail, causing a metal object to rupture his eye. Despite complaining of serious pain and bleeding from his eye, the plaintiff did not arrive at the hospital until an hour and a half after his injury. The man says he still does not have vision in his right eye. The incident is currently under investigation by the Justice Systems Integrity Division, which prosecutes law enforcement misconduct. ~ James Queally, LA Times 06/22/2021 * Read: https://ift.tt/3gOfA0t * #CIVILLITIGATIONLAWYER Call The Sterling Firm 🏛⚖️🧑⚖️ ⠀ Available 24/7! 💯👍⠀ FREE CASE EVALUATION: https://ift.tt/3rOSyJs * ⠀ 🌐 www.thesterlingfirm.com⠀ 📧 [email protected]⠀ 📲 +1(310)498-2750⠀ *⠀ #lawyer #injurylawer
